Funding from UKRI on High-gain Tracking-Antenna for Terrestrial Network

Satraka is pleased to announce that it has been awarded funding from UKRI to develop high-gain tracking-antenna technology for terrestrial 4G/5G networks on mobility platforms such as ambulances, trains, coaches, and buses. The proposed solution, based on Satraka’s patent-pending Terra antenna technology, boosts radio signal strength tenfold, enabling either higher data-rate transmission where 4G/5G signals are adequate or reliable internet connections that would otherwise be impossible using the solutions and products on the market today, due to weak signals. Furthermore, by combining the power of Satraka’s Mercury and Terra antennas via both terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks (TN and NTN), a reliable and resilient internet connection can be assured on mobility platforms.

The UKRI funding demonstrates yet another vote of confidence in Satraka’s technologies, business, and vision to “Connect the Unconnected and Serve the Underserved” anywhere and anytime in the world.
