Satraka Ltd has been awarded a grant from UKRI STFC on the Cross-Cluster Proof of Concept (Cc PoC) programme.
The CC PoC funding is for innovators to “investigate the application of technology from another industry through cross-cluster engagement, access networks and STFC’s large-scale science facilities to develop and validate new ideas, and de-risk exploratory projects.”
This funding will enable Satraka to develop cutting-edge technology on Low-Power Beam-Steering Antennas, specifically for high-data rate internet connections in a wide range of applications, such as:
-Non-geostationary satellite orbit (NGSO)-based non-terrestrial networks (NTN)
-5G/6G-based fixed wireless access (FWA) networks
-Autonomous vehicles in transport
-Autonomous machinery in smart farming
-Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) or high-altitude platform stations (HAPS)

Satraka is working with Daresbury project partner STFC CTH for this project.
